Rachel, I’m sold. There’s a hole in my earth sandals which became filled with sand from walking on the beach today. I’m definitely due for new pair. Yours are so stylish.

I’d like to give a brief shout-out to the much-appreciated birthday gift my husband got me this year – a pair of these amazing shoes: Chacos sandals!
I know, I know. Can shoes really be that amazing? Yes, they CAN.
I love these shoes for a variety of reasons, but since I’m guessing a good number of you may already have a glazed over look from these first few sentences, I’ll keep this brief.
Here goes: these shoes may be the only shoes you’ll ever need (at least until the temps drop). Seriously, besides my running shoes, I have worn these sandals non-stop since I got them last month. (And, as an aside, my sister-in-law Summer actually did wear hers to run once, and while she wouldn’t recommend it, she said it can be done.) As a mom who spends her days chasing a bunch of boys, I love the sturdy nature of these shoes – and that I can wear them to the lake, to the pool, in the backyard, and also to Mass! I was even wearing these shoes the day I met Amy Welborn. So there you go.

Oh those are super-cute. I love, love, love the idea of having one all-purpose pair of shoes that is just as good for the playground, the grocery store and mass. I wonder if I can squeeze a little room in my budget to get myself a pair. Rachel, I can already tell you’re going to be a danger to my wallet.
Oh, dear. Dear, oh dear. I suppose you are not acquainted with the Summa Mamas? http://summamamas.stblogs.org/archives/2008/07/pretty_shoe_tue_15.html They know that life is too short not to wear cute shoes. And they, like me, bow to the shoe master of them all: http://shoeblogs.com/ The Manolo also writes about shoe greatness of the greatest: http://shoeblogs.com/2008/07/10/the-shoes-of-the-pope/ But the shoes in your post? Just. Say. No.
